Preparatory drawing for sheet 14 of the series “Römische Ansichten”, 1810. Two further drawings of the same motif are in the Kupferstichkabinett of the Academy in Vienna (inv. no. 6365) and in the Landesmuseum Hannover (inv. no. LA 83) as well as a later repetition around 1820, also in the Kupferstichkabinett of the Academy in Vienna (inv. no. 6339), whereby our sheet can be seen as the direct stylistic work.
