After studying at the Art Academy in Kassel, Martha Dehrmann lived and worked in Berlin and Kassel from 1888 on. She was a member of the Association of Berlin Female Artists (Verein der Berliner Künstlerinnen) from 1894-1916.
Hans von Bülow (1830-1894) was the chief conductor of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra from 1887-1893.
The female pianist is most probably Daniela von Bülow (1860-1940). She, along with Clara Schumann, was one of the few renowned female concert pianists in Germany. Hans von Bülow had two daughters with his wife Cosima (who married Richard Wagner in 1870).
